Introduction

Seamen’s Club Stella Maris - Trois-Rivières division
Our Seamen’s Club is a non-profit organization funded in 1998. Its principal objective is to welcome foreign seamen who have usually spent a week or more at sea without leaving the ship. We're also one of the world's 1300 Seamen’s Clubs, which are part of the international group Stella Maris, an organization recognized by Rome.
The Trois-Rivières Seamen’s Club is managed by a board of directors under Reverend Jocelyn Robichaud's management. The club's volunteers have assumed the responsibility of welcoming each seaman to make sure his stay in Trois-Rivières is a pleasant one.
Volunteers always worked by pair and are highly respected by the seamen. After a long period at sea, sailors often need to talk and meet with people other than crew members. They long for attention and spiritual comfort, services provided by the chaplain and team of volunteers thanks to their availability and warm hospitality.
