Tuesday February 21 2017 – On Friday, February 17, the Chambre de commerce et d’industries de Trois-Rivières and the event’s Platinum partner, Desjardins Entreprises, announced in front of 520 people gathered at the Delta Trois-Rivières the winners of the 32nd Gala Radisson.
“The Gala Radisson is an opportunity to discover and recognize the companies and individuals who contribute to the vitality of Trois-Rivières and the surrounding region. Without them, we could not, collectively, aspire to a sustainable well-being and prosperity,” noted Pierre Mercier, President of the Chambre de commerce et d’industries de Trois-Rivières, organizer of the Gala Radisson since 2003.
The Port of Trois-Rivières was awarded the Radisson HYDRO-QUÉBEC Prix hommage Coup de cœur – Fierté régionale for its tremendous contribution to the promotion of Trois-Rivières and to regional vitality. This Radisson is awarded to a company, a group of individuals or an organization that stands out through its specific contribution to the City’s economic development by means of job creation, business performance, achievements, succession project or contribution to the development of a new avenue for the future.
Mr. Gaétan Boivin, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Trois-Rivières Port Authority (TRPA), was visibly moved by this distinction. He wanted to thank the business community: “This award is the greatest honor an organization such as ours can receive. To be the favorite is to receive a lot of love, which assures us that we have made the right choices. Thank you for your confidence. »
Mr. Cléo Marchand, Chairman of the Board of the TRPA, highlighted the contribution of many partners: “I want to congratulate all the winners of this 2017 edition and thank the Chambre de commerce et d’industries de Trois-Rivières, the organizing committee and all the partners and collaborators who made this event possible. I would also like to share this prize with the members of the TRPA Board of Directors, the TRPA team, the Port users and all our business partners. »
